Genuine OEM Parts & Equipment Support
Keep Your Timberland Equipment Working the Way It Was Designed To
When critical equipment goes down, getting the right part matters.
Timberland Equipment provides genuine OEM replacement parts backed by the people who designed and built your equipment. Whether you need a replacement component, help identifying a part, or support planning your critical spares inventory, our Parts Department can connect you with the right people and the right solution.
1. What are the biggest mistakes customers make when buying non-OEM parts?
A lot of people look at the price first and assume all parts are basically the same. The problem is that PMA parts don’t always fit or perform the way OEM parts do. Saving a little money upfront can end up costing a lot more if the part fails or causes damage to other components.
2. Can you tell me about a time when our parts department saved a customer from costly downtime?
We’ve had customers call with equipment sitting idle, where every hour of downtime meant lost production. In those situations, we work closely with manufacturing, purchasing, and shipping to prioritize the order and keep the customer updated throughout the process. Our goal is to get the right part in their hands as quickly as possible so they can get back to work.
3. What makes Timberland’s Parts Department different from a distributor or aftermarket supplier?
The biggest difference is that we built the equipment. We know every machine inside and out because we designed, manufactured, and continue to support it. If a customer needs help identifying a part or troubleshooting an issue, we can work directly with our engineering, manufacturing, and service teams to provide the right solution—not just sell a replacement part. That’s a significant advantage over distributors or aftermarket suppliers who don’t have direct access to the people who built the equipment.
4. If every customer stocked just five spare parts, what would you recommend and why?
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer because every customer’s equipment is different. I usually recommend having a conversation with the customer and identifying the parts that have the highest wear or the longest lead times. Building a small spare parts inventory around those items can make a huge difference when something unexpected happens.
5. If you had one piece of advice for someone responsible for keeping critical equipment running, what would it be?
Don’t wait until it breaks. A little maintenance and having a few key spare parts on hand can save you a lot of time, money, and headaches. It’s always easier to plan for maintenance than deal with unexpected costly downtime.
6. Why would you trust a $20 aftermarket part to protect a million-dollar piece of equipment?
When you’ve invested that much in a piece of equipment, it just isn’t worth taking the risk to save a few dollars. The right OEM part gives you confidence that it’s going to fit, perform properly, and help keep the equipment running the way it was designed to.
