WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Prepare, organize, and maintain production work orders, and related documentation
  • Ensure all production records are accurate, up-to-date, and properly filed
  • Support scheduling and tracking of production activities
  • Ensure correct revision control of drawings and documents on the shop floor
  • Create and process purchase requisitions for materials, tools, and services
  • Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to ensure timely delivery
  • Track order status and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist in preparing and managing nesting layouts for production (e.g. CNC, fabrication)

WHO YOU ARE

  • Post-secondary education in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing administrative role
  • Proven work experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes is an asset
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize, and effectively manage assignments

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Reporting to the Assembly Supervisor, this position is responsible for assembling custom tension stringing, construction, mining, oil & gas, and marine equipment; following the project from initial assembly to testing. The position summary is to be used as a guideline only and will not incorporate all functions of the job.

  • Read job specifications, interpret and work from engineering drawings to assemble custom heavy equipment including winching systems varying from 5 ton to 600+ ton
  • Perform DC wiring systems (12 – 24V)
  • All variations and sizes of hydraulic systems (closed and open loop), including systems from 2GPM to 200+ GPM
  • Utilize large cranes (2Te to 55Te), lift trucks, etc. to transfer and manufacture equipment
  • Participate in static and dynamic testing of finished equipment

WHO YOU ARE

  • Previous experience in assembling hydraulic and mechanical systems is essential
  • Knowledgeable in DC based electrical systems and ability to do overall diagnostics on equipment would be an asset
  • Hands on troubleshooting, repair, adjustment, overhaul, and maintenance of heavy equipment
  • Licensed Heavy Equipment Mechanic/or related Mechanic License and/or equivalent experience
  • Experience in troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Possess clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Work in a co-operative group atmosphere
  • Willing and able to work rotating shifts and overtime

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Interpret engineering drawings to set up and operate a plasma table to fabricated parts for manufacturing our equipment
  • Weld components and assemblies using MCAW and FCAW, including both carbon and stainless-steel welding processes
  • Observe and take part in testing on welded surfaces, such as visual inspection, magnetic particle (MPI), ultrasonic testing (UT), radiographic examination (RT or X-ray), to evaluate weld quality as well as conform to dimensional tolerances

WHO YOU ARE

  • Certified CWB Welder or recently held previous MCAW and FCAW tickets
  • Previous experience welding in a heavy equipment manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to interpret blueprints

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Perform all types of industrial painting work and prepares various surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, taping or other means as necessary
  • Use priority list and determine paint and procedures required
  • Mix, match and blend various paints and special protective coatings to achieve desired colour, consistency, and drying properties
  • Paint equipment using brush, spray gun and conventional and airless spray systems
  • Erect and use ladders as required
  • Check and document humidity, dew point and mil thickness
  • Meet production standard hours
  • Application of primer and paint
  • Clean and store tools and equipment, keep work site clean

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Perform a wide variety of tasks in the assembly of heavy equipment in a manufacturing environment which may include advanced electrical work on the equipment, panel wiring and troubleshooting
  • Perform building and shop maintenance
  • Lay out, plan and perform a wide variety of wiring and equipment assembly installations consisting of but not limited to mechanical fastening of electronic/electrical components to electrical panels and electrical enclosures
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, color codes, schematics and wire lists
  • Assist contractors with electrical installation as required
  • Monitor and check electrical wiring performed by Mechanical Assemblers
  • Size and install conduit, seal-tight, cab-tire, tech cable on equipment
  • Following the CEC, NEC and any other wiring standards that may be required for project
  • Determine or follow methods and sequence of operations in performing various complex electronic assembly operations
  • Ensure quality checks are completed throughout the manufacturing process
  • Power wiring 110-750VAC single phase and three phase
  • Support commissioning and start up
  • DC wiring (0 – 24 V)
  • Perform mechanical and hydraulic assembly as required

WHO YOU ARE

  • Licensed Electrician: Industrial (442A) or Construction & Maintenance (309A) required
  • Previous electrical assembly – machine building experience in an industrial setting
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/electrical schematics
  • Proven work experience using measurement devices such as a tape measure, micrometer, multi-meters, loop calibrators, scope-meter, etc.
  • Ability to identify proper conduit and conductor sizing
