Bullwheels
• 1,200 mm (48in) bullwheels with replaceable bolt-on nylon lining segments
• 5 grooves per bullwheel with groove diameter of 52mm suitable for 1 conductor or steel pulling rope
• The special arrangement prevents potentially damaging rolling o twisting of the conductor /OPGW. The “tilted” bullwheels significantly reduces the potential for damage to the conductor / OPGW
• Bullwheels are direct driven by modern completely enclosed planetary gearboxes, with all gearing running
in an oil bath, without any final chain drives or open gearing
• Spring applied/hydraulic released brakes on bullwheel drives apply automatically in the event of hydraulic circuit pressure loss or engine shutdown
• Hydraulic oil cooler to maintain proper operating temperature of the hydraulic system
Operator Console
• Operator console is located in a safe position on the machine and includes: infinitely adjustable pulling/tensioning control, dynamometer gauge to show tension in conductor/OPGW, hydraulic oil temperature and brake over-ride control, joystick for speed and direction control
Frame
• Four anchor/ lifting lugs and weight decal on each module. Anchors can be used to mount unit to trailer
• 3 roller tail fairlead for guiding conductor/ OPGW into the bullwheel from the reel let-off stands
• Includes quick disconnects for reel winder
