Marcotte leveraging Timberland Group expertise to support mining customers
Effective January 1, 2020, Marcotte Mining Machinery Services, Inc will be amalgamated with Timberland Equipment Limited. This change enhances the relationship that already existed between Marcotte and Timberland through their common ownership under the Timberland Group banner.
Under the amalgamation, Timberland will maintain a parts and service support center location in the Sudbury area to support the Marcotte product line and provide customers with the same excellent service they have received from Marcotte over the past 40 years. Marcotte’s product line includes Scissor Lifts, Crane Trucks, Anfo Loaders, Fuel / Lube Carriers, Shotcrete Systems, Personnel Carriers, etc.
Timberland has a long history of serving the mining industry with industry leading winches, hoists, sheaves, re‐roping systems, emergency rescue systems, the Minejack® vehicle and related products. The Minejack® Carrier, which is the base vehicle for Marcotte’s mobile underground utility vehicle product line, originated in Woodstock, Ontario where Timberland’s modern manufacturing facility is located. This amalgamation returns the product line to its roots and leverages the in‐house expertise that resides at Timberland. The Marcotte mobile underground utility vehicle product line will become an integral part of Timberland’s business and growth in the coming years.
Customers will benefit from the depth of support available from Timberland including mining industry experience, engineering, electric drives expertise and a modern manufacturing facility. At the same time, Timberland’s parts and service support center for the Marcotte product line in the Sudbury area will continue to be led by many of the same people you already know well.
