24 Point Mooring System for 4 Vessels
Timberland was contracted by EEP/Petrobras to design and manufacture 16 mooring pull-in systems for use in the Buzios field offshore of Brazil. Each system had a Timberland designed and manufactured skidding gantry which integrated a powered turndown sheave, tugger winch, block and tackle and a chain locker designed to hold several hundred feet of 120 mm studless chain.
This included:
- 120 mm Underwater Fairleads
- Chain Stoppers
- 4 Moveable 600 Te Chain Jacks and Gantries
- HPU’s with Controls
P67 Equipment Modifications
The scope included a new 550 Te winch featuring an improved levelwind and hydraulic control system, a new HPU utilizing refurbished explosion-proof panels, a relocated control cabin, and replacement of the main horizontal deflector sheave. The upgraded control system provides enhanced operational feedback for operators.

Plazflor FPSO
Timberland Equipment supplied critical mooring systems for Total’s Pazflor FPSO project, supporting offshore production operations located off the coast of Angola.
This included:
- 4 x 320 Te Moveable Chain Jacks
- 14 x Turn Down Sheaves
- 2 x 280 Te Winches
- 2 x HPU’s
Kizomba A & B FPSOs
These were the largest drum winches supplied to date by Timberland Equipment with 550 Ton capacity with 110 mm diameter wire rope on the drums.
