The Timberland's model DP100 is a trailer mounted single drum puller designed to transport; store and control the release and retrieval of synthetic rope in transmission or distribution line stringing.
The puller is fully hydrostatic with infinite speed linepull control from zero to the maximum performance of the machine. Power for the puller is obtained from the 165 horsepower Tier IV engine. The drum is driven by two (2) independent hydraulic drives. The drives are composed of variable displacement axial piston motors; a spring-on hydraulic released holding brakes, two stage planetary reductor and final chain drive. The drum is also equipped with a boom type levelwind to ensure even spooling of the rope onto the drum, freewheeling pins, and a hydraulic caliper/bronze disc style brake.
